6.5 speaker Suggestions
#1
So in the next few months I will be redoing my Car audio system but I cant decide what brand comps/coax to get. I plan on doing 2 sets of comps upfront(1 set of tweeters in the dash and down in the kick panel and the 6.5's in the kick panel and door) and a set of coax in the rear doors.
I'm looking for suggestions between -
Alpine
JL Audio
Kicker
Rockford
6.5's Components that have crossovers and not the inline crap and coax that are under $250 a set.

Really, it's impossible to tell you what to get for sure, everyone's taste in sound and what sounds good to them is different. The absolute most important thing of all is the install. It doesn't matter if you spend $2500 on the speakers, if they're not installed properly they'll not sound any better than a $25 set that is properly installed. I would HIGHLY suggest ditching the rear speakers AND the second set of components for the front. Putting all those speakers in the truck is only going to ruin the sound stage and imaging, not to mention play hell with the overall quality of the response from cancellations, reflections and distortions that you simply cannot control with so many speakers playing in the same air space. Keep it simple, pick one good set of components and put them on a good amplifier. Spend the rest of the money you would have had tied up in the second set of components and rear speakers toward sound deadening and the materials to build very solid mounting locations for the components. Your money will be better spent and you'll be happier with the results overall.
On a note of personal opinion, you can't really go wrong with any of the brands you listed at the price point you mentioned. I would also like to add JBL, Hertz, Polk Audio, Focal, and Rainbow to the brands you mentioned. The best thing you can do is go out and listen to as many different sets from as many of the manufacturers as you can and form the best idea you can about what you like and don't like from one to the next and pinpoint what it is that you're looking for from them. Make your choice based on that, not what everyone else suggests. If, like me, there's not really anywhere you can go to get a good listen on very much then take EVERYTHING you read about peoples OPINIONS on what speakers sound good with much caution.
Don't play down what putting a good amp on a set of components can do for you. A HU is so completely limited on the power it can provide to a set of speakers that it's truly laughable to make any comparison. More output, better dynamic range, lower distortion and overall better response are the biggest attributes that come to mind.

2 sets of components are going to be up in the front and 1 set of coax in the back and they will be powered by a amp I'm just trying to find what brands other people prefer or have used before etc
