Default 97 chevy blazer head unit

Has anyone installed a aftermarket head unit in a 97 blazer? The stock unit is so big I cannot find a picture of the 97 blazer with a aftermarket head unit? Also what is the biggest speakers I can fit in the doors on the 97 blazer?

Thanks,
Mike

best thing you can do is not sue the spacer they give you that makes the deck stick out, and then make a faceplate to make it look smoother--mine has a dash cover over it and is not finished in this pic--but you get the idea

In the 95-97 it has to stick out some, the dash isnt deep enough for the aftermarket radio. Scosche makes the best install kit, got mine from Best Buy, hillbillyinOhio has this kit. there are also some pics in my gallery.

I made a home kit for mine with ABS plastic and metal strapping and I had a Sony Xplod and in dash DVD player on on top of the other (double DIN style) and I removed the factory pocket. All this was flush mounted and it didn't stick out like those car kits...I now have an in-dash Flip-up screen and that was longer than the Sony so took my Dremel tool and I carefully cut out some of the plastic behind the radio so it could go in deeper. If you choose to do this, be VERY careful, there are a LOT of wires behind that plastic!

check out my Blazer at: http://www.sounddomain.com/id/djremix I will update these pix soon!
