Default Speaker question

My bro gave me 2 speakers, he had them put in boxes, i believe they are 6X9s. I would like to hook them up. But i have no idea how. I got speaker wire, an a lil wiring experience. Do you have to take the door pannel off to hook them up. Any info greatly appreciated!!

I just dont want to take more than i can handle, but yet i dont want to pay anyone to do it either. There just dinky speakers that will be lying in the back....hopefully.

why pull off the panels? you gan get the wires at the b=pillar under the trim. Left Positive is Brown, neg is yellow. Right side is Dark Blue + and light blue -. they are usually twisted toghether, but you wond have that many wires there. or you can pull the door boot off and catch them there, and just run the wire back into the truck. Is this on a factory radio?? you might run into some impedance issues if you just wire them pos to pos and neg to neg. But i doubt it.

ya if u want to add the 6x9s to ur 4 stock speakers then u will need an amp to help give them the power they need. u would need an aftermarket radio to hook it up tho. then u would just hook up the speaker wires to the amp and the amp to the back of the radio and u will be good. u could also take the power from the rear speakers and have them go to the 6x9s instead.

With the amp, would i have to have that put in a boxor anything like that? Sorry when it comes to audio an electrical im like a caveman!!!! i had the 6X9s in a car before i got my blazer an it was hooked up to the stock radio without any amps, i stole some power going to the rear speakers an it sounded fine.
