I believe i have the metra. I went to a local higher end install shop and had them install it for the 2 year warranty because it was cheaper to do the install through them than it was to buy it and do it myself anywhere else

On my 92, the back of the radio hits the channel that flows air to the vents above the radio. Some people have cut a hole into that channel and resealed it with metal foil tape or something like that and got them to sit flush with the dash. They said it didn't affect airflow, but I don't wanna do all that. I don't think it looks out of place. Plus I'm a lazy guy, I don't care if it's flush or sticks out as long as I have a remote I'm not leanin up to hit any buttons. ha ha

This picture kinda shows how mine is. The dash kit is from Crutchfield.

That actually looks pretty good screwed, I'm not one for major modification to make things fit. I'm the same way though, my pioneer came with a remote which is nice when outside of the car or when you're just cruising around.

I'm digging the fast food bag on the floor. lol. That looks good though, screwed. When I get into an aftermarket, I'm going to look for something with a shallow stance. I don't like having it sticking out super far out, and/or looking goofy as hell. For example, taba5's setup, sticks out way too far for my liking. That's just me though. (no offense taba5)

I would love to find a 1.5 din HU that will fit nicely without needing any modifications or brackets. I guess I'm stuck with a stock unit though. Oh well.

My '04 is the double din opening and i have a single din installed. I don't have the pocket underneath that a lot of people get but i do have a little plate under it that i have some switches installed into
