O3Blazer, mind if I ask how you lifted up the rocker panels to route the wiring? Also, did you drill a hole in the firewall, or use an existing one for the power wire? Thanks!

what rocker panels? there is a groomet in the passenger side where your left foot would be. Pull up the plastic piece where u get in at then pull on that kick panel then pull the carpet back and you should see it. it is really big and its where the antenna wire is ran through.

the antenna gromet is above the pass floor area. about where you left foot would be. Pull back the top of the carpet and its right there. adn the kick panels will just pull out. remove the sill panel and then just pull

The Alpine currently in my truck (used to be in my bosses Kia) once said something along the lines of "Hi-Temp" and that stayed on the screen until it cooled down... That could be why the fan squeals when it's cold, and the CD playing portion is iffy... lol

edit: And after checking the manual for my old Alpine CDA-9807 (bought in 2003-ish) it also had the same feature...

I just meant was there a specific way you took off the plastic panels at the bottom of the doors where the floor is. Most of the cars/trucks I've seen have screws that you take off in order to remove the rocker-panel plastic pieces where the door meets teh floor.

just use a flat head screwdriver to pry up an edge of em and pull up and they will come up easily.
