Default Amp kit to stock stereo?

That's all I want to know: Can I run an amp kit to my stock head unit/stereo on my 2003 ZR2 Blazer?

I wouldnt do it. Stock speakers arent really meant to handle much power other then that produced by the headunit

yea I wouldn't let best buy do it. they charge wayyyyy to much. if you really don't feel confident with doing the install I would check out a local car audio place they won't charge you near as much as best buy.

Yeah, I just don't have alot of time is the biggest factor. Where could I find a guide on installing one? What about the line out convertor, what do I do with that?

this will help you out
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerofile/6208/fai.jpg

you can tap it into the back of the radio speaker wires... it taps to the original speaker wires and gives you the preout..

a basic 2-channel LOC has 4 speaker level input wires and 2 line-level RCA outputs. you connect the 4 speaker level input wires to any left/right speaker wires (it doesn't matter if they are front or rear). you will need to figure out which wires are pos/neg; the speaker terminals are often marked, if not then search on google for your car's speaker wire colors (polarity). you will need a set of RCA cables to connect the LOC's line-level outputs to your amp's RCA inputs.

NOTE: if your amp has speaker-level inputs then you don't need an LOC at all. just hook your left/right speaker wires directly up to the amp"s speaker level inputs
