alright so i tried it with some speaker wire and it didnt work. i have checked my power cable and it is getting power but i think it might not be getting enough.

 

if it is getting power from the battery, then it is enough. do you have access to a multi-meter?

 

yes thats what i used to figure out that it is infact getting power. i checked it on the ohms setting from the ground cable to the power cable. i checked all the fuses and they where good. im good with mechanics not electronics lol.

 

A fork works, too... (So I was eating last time I was trouble shooting, give me a break! lol)

 

ok, make sure that you are getting power at the amp on the line from the batt. verify, that with the car on, you are getting 12v at the remote lead. you can also check the return resistance of your ground, (to verify it is good enough) by taking a length of wire that will reach from your ground for the amp, to the neg terminal of the batt. take one lead of your dmm and put it to where your ground is. actually where it is connected to the car. then put your other lead to the wire going to your battery. make sure that you touch your leads together to zero out your meter. if you have .5 ohms or less, than your ground is good. if not, keep working on the ground.

If you verify that you are getting power from both 12v constant(battery line) and your remote line, and your ground is good, you have a suspect amp (s).

 

well i figured it out. i think at first it was my ground and the remote and some time when i was trying to fix those i blew the inline fuse on the power cable. so i replaced that and my amp lit up! then i figured out i didnt have my sub wire to the right spots (because its an amp you can bridge and i had them in the bridge spots). but now its workin perfect and bumpin real nice. i got a 10" audiobahn excursion in a big sub zero ported box.
