Amp problems need help!
well the ground was the problem, and it's taken care of now...
When i set my gains i always use a multi-meter and my target voltage is 34.6. With my alpine i had the gain turned up 1/2 way. well i got this eclipse now and it's got the 5volt outputs and i listen to it at about 65/80 and when i adjust the gain it reads 34.6 with the gain BARELY turned up, and it's not that loud. Would it be safe to turn the gain up a little more or should i leave it there and adjust the settings on my h.u??

yea, that wont be a problem. the 5 volt pre-amp outputs will help clean up the sound. i owuld turn it up about 10 percent and adjust HU accordingly. Glad the ground was the issue!
no problem.Glad I could help. I get phone calls like that all day long. and now you never have to worry about a ground in your truck again, unless you HU starts actin funny. but you have an eclipse, so not likely!
