Default amp question

ok i decided to save a bit of money and buy my buddys system straight out instead of going for the alpine type-r's. he has two JBL GTO GT4-15's with a crunch drive series amp pushing them. the specs for the subs are:

RMS Power Handling : 250W
Peak Power : 1000W
Frequency Response : 20Hz - 400Hz
Sensitivity : 91dB
Impedance : 4 Ohms

the amp is a 300x4. (i know this isnt a good amp for subwoofers, but im not gonna complain cause im getting a really good deal on this set-up lol)

what i want to know is whether that amp would be fine or what would be a good amp to push those speakers. thanks.

Default RE: amp question

find an amp that does 500rms at 2 ohms.

that amp is garbage.....sorry.....300x4 is probably pretty inaccurate.
