Question Amp Question

Hey, i'm looking to get an alpine type x 12 inch sub soon and i'm not sure which way to go with amps. What kind of amp would you guys recommend on a kind of low budget?

heres the specs for the sub:

get a quality amp that can produce the amount of continuous power (RMS) that the sub requires. Never pay attention to peak power, only RMS.

well, for real power and good quality. i would run a Hifonics Brutus 1200.1D

D class 1200 rms at 1 ohm and is a proven stable power plant.

also you could run the 1000 rms without pushing the amp to its max continouis all the time. Other amps are good too but that would be my suggestion for reliable proven power at a good price

its a shame you cant run that sub at 1ohm (its a dual 4ohm configuration and he is only getting 1 sub).

the brutus 1600 is 1100 rms at 2 ohm, and all for about $250 or less. thats a mighty good deal is you ask me. The audiopipe AP 1500 i think is 1000 rms at 2 ohm and its a monster - i used it on 4 american bass 15's at 1 ohm and it broke stuff off the car. that one is about 200 i think. so look around
