I have two subs that seperately have a nominal impedance of dual 4 ohms for one sub. Then I have a Rockford Fosgate amplifier that is 4 ohms. I have my subs wired up to 2 ohms and I was wondering because on my amp I have protect mode and thermal mode. Will my amp go into protect if somethings wrong or will it not because of the wiring?
That was a little confusing lol.......here, I'll get you a wiring diagram...
http://rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wo...p;woofer_imp=4

you can go 1 ohm or 4 ohms, so you'll wanna go 4.
If you amp is not 2 ohm stable do not run it that low or it will over heat/kick into protect.

Can you at least give us a model #

oh........this should have a seperate thread......if you have more questions.....please start a thread.

1st question is are you sure your amp is not 2 ohm stable?
