So heres the scoop... Im a long time stalker and new member here, I have my 2000 Blazer LS 2dr Im picking up an alpine IDA-x100 for my head unit, and then replacing all 6 stock speakers with alpine S series because I like to keep some loot in my wallet.... I'm also planing on adding in a small 4 channel amp to and some oomph to my speakers and round out my low end a bit, I have an Infinity 200 Basslink that I really like because its easy to put in and out as I need the space... So here come the questions....
(1) any suggestions on placement of my amp, I'd really love to put it under the passenger side rear seat, I may need to shim the rear seats up a bit but Id love to put it under there out of sight out of mind and I figure that with it being a small amp, Hopefully not too much heat and I rarely have more than 1 passenger.
(2) When I install the amp do I need to splice he front door and dash speakers to one channel each or are they linked already or should I not worry about running extra power to them, Im looking at about 50w per channel and the dash speakers I have picked out are rated for 45w RMS?
(3) I need to protect my investment... so what Alarm do you guys recommend? I have an after-market alarm already installed from the P.O. But someone cut the siren wire and I have no clue what the deal is with it so I'd like to start fresh and install a remote start with it, Another reason for replacement is that the range SUCKS on the remotes and I would like to be more then 25' from my truck before it unlocks or starts haha...

(P.S. I did search around a lot on the forums for answers but most of this is uncharted territory or extremely old (circa 2006) So I figured why not start fresh)
