lol it confused me alittle and yea if you could get me a drawing with a switch incorporated so I can shoose when they go on and off, and will come on with the reverse lights

I'm still learning and trying to figure out the whole 'relay' game, which is why whenever I have a big electrical issue, I take it to an expert....
SO, I would buy THIS and save yourself the trouble. Or, look at everything that comes in that kit, listen to these guys that know what they're talkin about, and set it up yourself!

Make sure you pick a decent switch, otherwise you're gonna be turning on the reverse lights at the same time with that one...
You should only need the diode on the wire that turns on the extra lights when you put it in reverse... I think.

On mine I'm trying to draw it with only one power wire to keep the wire running down and hopefully make it easier. And yes the main draw back is having to use a switch big enough to handle the draw of the lights but with a second relay I can fix that problem, lol.
Hopefully this one will help more. The double pole double throw switch (one with 2 ons and a center off) can be replaced with 2 switches if you can't find one but 99% of alll auto parts stores I've been in carry them.
