Bass blocker location

I understand that my Blazer ('04 2-door) has a crossover (bass blocker, not a REAL crossover) in-line with the dash speakers. Is this crossover behind the HU or is it closer to the speakers? Since I'm replacing the dash speakers with some high-quality tweeters, I'd just like to know before I tear them out. Thanks.
