blowing fuses
Setup my system a while ago, the battery adapter I got was the wrong one so in my haste I just wired tied the main power wire to the unused top terminal until I got the right part in, cause I wanted instant gratification of doing it myself, I know it probally wasnt the smartest thing to do, heh. Worked good, no problems. Well the right part came in, and I installed it. It blew out the 80 amp fuse. I only had a 60 amp from an old system so I threw that in there and it blew that too. I didnt mess with any other wires so I dont know if there is a problem or if it was too much for a 60 amp fuse. These lil turds are expensive, so just wondering if this was a problem . I am running a Hifonics TX1505D amp, 4 gauge wire. I have it going to a 4 ohm ED 11kvD2 10inch running 500w. So Im not even sure that I required an 80amp thought maybe that would be too much.
On a side note it doesnt really sound all that "loud", even just a single 10" not sure if I have a good enough ground, or if my setup sucks, or all those dials on the back of the amp set right.

RE: blowing fuses
i would start by checking your power and ground wires, make sure there not pinched or anything. use a dmm to check your ground. after that tryputting a bigger fuse in there see if that helps. sorry i couldn't be more of a help.

RE: blowing fuses
yea, check your ground. If you want, i can give you the exact location for the gorund. doubt any pinched wires, but wont hurt to check anyway.
