I like how the 8's are gonna work out. Might have to keep that in mind when I have to downgrade one day.

 

i have a router. I just dont use it when the rings will not be seen.

 

Here is the enclosure as it stands right now. A couple layers of glass and a LOT of sanding to go.

 

Are you gonna paint it??? IMHO its too much prep work. Unless its a show vehicle i would just use some carpet, but hey thats your choice...

 

not sure yet. Im leaning towards carpet right now. But I want to try painting eventually since I have a nice air compressor now and a few paint guns.

Have you took apart your tailgate yet? I know i did a cut out in mine just a couple weeks ago and i know wit out some serious work to get the latch to work you wont be able to fit that amp in there recessed.

 

havent touched the tailgate yet. The panel will be made flush with the protruding amp, it will not be recessed.
