You're making really quick progress. Still anxiously anticipating the false floor but everything looks professional so far!
thanks! Its funny you say that though. Progress is going fast because Im doing a half *** job. Nothing professional about it lol. The false floor will be the very last piece to go on. Originally I had planned on putting plexi glass over the amps so you could see them through the floor. The problem is that I need atleast 1/2" thick plexi to hold up to the dogs weight should they stand directly on it. My plexi hook-up that I had fell through so now that idea is out the door. Im just going to make air vent slits in the floor now so the amps can breathe a little. You wont see them at all though.

just a thought but you could hook up some small fans to help cool things down. i took the fan out my old computers power supply and spliced it onto a usb cable. the sticker on the fan says 15 volts but the 5 volt usb cable spins it fast enough to keep my laptop, xbox360 or just about anything else, cool. im sure it would be simple to hook up to the power and ground for your amp and it would keep the air moving under the fake floor. and if you put vents, then you could have the fans pointing out of the box to dissipate more hot air...

I have a couple of cage fans but I dont think I will need them. I did think about using them but the air vents in the floor should be enough. Thanks for the tip though.

shouldnt be too much longer. I need to get a space heater so I can do some glassing. Its a bit cold here for fiberglassing without one. I also need to get a small can of truck bed liner to coat the kicks when Im done with them. I also need to get some box carpet for the enclosure and false floor. Ive got a buddy coming up tomorrow to deliver me some 2 con and 4 con speaker wire.

I just agreed to sell my 1501d and subs for $600. If the deal follows through, I will be building a new box for a MTX 5500 10" sub and use a buttkicker amp.

so this project is currently on hold for 2 reasons. The first reason is I ran out of CA glue and accelerator. Im waiting for the replacements in the mail. The other reason is the sub and amp may be getting sold so I dont want to go any furtherincase I need to change it up a little.
