Do you have any sort of lip on the box? When I built my box I added a 1 1/4" overhand to help hide the amp on the back of the box. To hold it down, I drilled through the overhang, used some bolts, washers, and custom tethers I made at Lowes. The tethers are steel cables with loops at each end, one loop on the box, the other loop is held down by a bolt on the rear seat bracket. Ill try to take some pictures today and post them.

my box dosent move at all, but on my old 15 box it was painted so i just stuck some velcro strips on the bottom and it caught on the carpet
what if my box covers up the tie downs? is there a safe place to screw it down?
never bothered, it dosent move and if someone wants to steal it they better have at least2-3 people and not a long distance to WALK slowly

I made myself a 3/4" false floor that I bolted to the tie-down using some bolts in those same holes and then I bolted my subwoofer box to the false floor so if a theif wants my system, he'll have to steal my Blazer to get it...I also run all my speaker wires, amp wires and ground under the floor so it makes for a clean install...

man, that is one hell of a blazer you have. The Camaro SS wheels look awesome. Nice box setup, do you have any sketches or dimensions left from the first box? I'm planning on building one very similar to that.
Welcome to the forum, you have come to the right place.

Naw I never really made any sketches, it was all out of my head...I just cut out pieces of cardboard and transfer to MDF, cut those out, test fit, glue, screw, carpet...I have more pictures if you wanna see...email me at [email protected] and I'll be glad to send them over to you!

thanks, I emailed you. I'm going to build it out of cardboard tomorrow. Finally found a use for the huge box my radiator came in.
