Compustar is manufactured by DEI.

CompuSTAR is not a DEI product...It is actually manufactured by Firstech.

Check ebay. Sometimes people sell the faceplates for cheap. Ordering from pioneer you have to create an account to do anything. I have an account because I have had to order a new dial for the volume control. What model stereo do you have, I can find out how much it would cost for you to oreder one from pioneer.
yea ebay ould be a good place to look, you might even be able to buy your faceplate back from the theif

Can't you even get a shotgun or rifle up there for home protection?

My truck got broken into twice. One time they took my pack of tic tacs and my kicker cvr's. But ever since i got my clifford (viper) which is made by DEI is seems to steer them away. Maybe the thieves have just left my area? Naw my next door neighbor's car was sitting on bricks 3 days ago.

You need a firearms license... To get one you've gotta take a course and what not, then, if they haven't changed it yet, you still have to register your firearms.

Sucks you got broken into...

I'm looking into a nice autostart unit for my truck, as most of the Viper units with the same features are about 2x the price, and their "manual transmission mode" is just a clutch bypass switch, lol.

It shouldn't be too difficult to find a faceplate on Ebay. Being in the middle of nowhere i'm glad I haven't had the need for an alarm yet.

The only time I remove my faceplate is when I take the Blazer to the shop. I don't see how a removable faceplate is considered a security feature, personally. My dad has had receivers jacked from him a couple of times even with the faceplate removed.

ya so checked with pioneer and its $175 for a replacement faceplate which is nuts because I only payed something like $150 for the stereo. And I havent had too much luck with ebay as to getting one either.
Is valiant a good brand for a remote starter/keyless/alarm? Because I don't really think they would be but just checking. And anywhere online that I can purchase one?
