hey a friend of mine is selling aq rockford fosgate cap for $45 because he doesnt want it anymore i looked online and this seems to be an ok deal becasue bestbuy charges 167 or somthin like that for the same one is it ok to go used on a cap though...he also said that he would install it with me because he installed it on his truck the first time....by the way its a 1 farad

that is a good deal but if I was you I would get atleast a 3 farad because of the power you are pulling. 1 farad is good for 500 watts of power.

i thought it was 1 farad to every 1,000 watts but please let me know if thats for sure not good enough

It is either 1 farad = 500 or 1 farad = 750, I dont remember.
yes a 1 farad to each amp should work.

o really cuz at bestbuy the ones say there good for 1,000 watts and i looked on the internet and thats what i saw quite a bit to so i dunno

i cant speak for other companys, but rockford fosgate caps ARE rated for up to 1000watt systems. but like i said in the other thread of yours, dont get a cap, its a waste of money
