Default CD Changer to 3.5mm jack?

This has sorta been asked but I didn't see any one who found a way to make it work.

I have a 2000 blazer with a Clarion 6disk CD Changer. It's now dead... I would like to figure out a way to wire in a 3.5 head phone cable. I know what youre about to say "just get a new deck, or a PIE" and I will when I replace my heater core(also dead) but in the mean time I want to try this out.

I've attached an image of the 9 pin AUX cable.

I've found this

Now all you need to do is cut three wires on the remote add-on cable; 4, 5, and 6.

1. Battery Out - Orange
2. E & C Data - Darker Green
3. Ground Out - Black
4. Audio Com In - Light Brown
5. Left In - Orange w/ black stripe
6. Right In - Lighter Green
7. Voice + in - Bare w/ clear tubing
8. Dimming Out - Gray
9. R14 Out - Blue

Now if I cut out 4,5,6 and wire them to an RCA plug then use a rca to 3.5m would that really work?
