I think he may have the Alpine multimedia head unit that only does usb or satellite radio? It doesn't even have a slot for cds, if its the unit I'm thinking about. I forget the model number off the top of my head.

You still havent answered the simple question that has been asked. Does your head unit have a slot for cd's. That simple answer would give us a better understanding of what is going on. you can add a stand alone cd player if your head unit has a aux. input. but all that seems to be alot more work than simply reformatting the music. Am I correct to presume that the cd you are trying to copy is not a store bought copy but rather a burnt copy from somewhere else?

The just find a male to male 3.5 headphone jack and plug it into the CD player and Aux jack.

That is a sweet head unit. Ive installed a few for clients. You can use a cd walkman with a 3.5" jack. Or just reformat cd. or download the music from Isohunt already in mp3 format. Good luck
