Okay...

I gots me a 1995 S-10 Blazer 4.3L, of course. I have a Sony Xplode deck, 4 brand new Polk Audio door speakers with 1 12" MTX sub and an Alpine 500W amp. I've had this set up for about a year now and I've had NO problems with it.

I just got a tune up a few days ago and since then, the radio is shutting itself off and then turn itself on like 2 seconds later. But it only happens when I turn the volume over 32. Specifically over 32.

The whole time I've had my system I've had the sub and amp... but it's never done it before. This is just starting.

Any ideas of what it could be would be nice....

check the amp ground. check the radio ground. check all of the stereo connections to make sure they ar still tight. double check to make sure your gain is set PROPERLY

 

To be more of a help... Is the sound shutting off and on or is the radio actually turning off then back on. Like the lights of the radio are going off too.

 

kinda like when you leave your stereo on and your battery is dying....????

sounds like a power problem, does it do it at a lower volume with a more 'bass heavy' song?
