Default A couple of questions. Window and Door Remote

I just bought a 2000 Blazer and I noticed when i roll down/up the driver side door it seems like the motor is really struggling to move the window. Also I noticed that I have to roll its all the way up or all the way down because if I try leaving it half way, it gets stuck there and I have to fidget with the button/switch for like 5 minutes to get it back up.

What needs to be replaced to remedy this problem?

And 1 more thing please. The Door Unlock/Lock Remote does not work. I replaced the battery and that did not fix it. I looked on EBay for a new remote and saw there were some for a decent price. Are these remote easy to program for my Blazer?

Thanks very much, as you can see I am new to this Forum and Blazers.

Well is the seal around the window really tight in a spot? I would check this before I go buy anything. I would even go to the extent of spraying all the edges of the window with somthing like wd-40 and see if that helps. If so, find the spot where its really tight. I would then take off the switches which is very easy, the whole switch mount pops up out of the door. Maybe try replacing it, but if not it may be your window motor?

I highly doubt it will be in your switches. It's easy to tell, though, just test the wires connecting to it with a multimeter. As long as you see power going into the switches and out of the switches when you press them, then they are doing their job. If anything, I would assume it'd be the motor.

As far as your keypad issue, you will have a much easier time just replacing the entire system. Those factory setups aren't all that good after a few years pass. I have a 98 blazer and mine went out well before I even got it. I put an alarm/keyless on it right when I got it. You can easily get a standard package for under $100 on ebay if that's the route you're using.

Good luck and look around or ask if you need wiring diagrams.
