Well the player in the truck went for a crap so I took it back to the shop I bought it from and when they were done they said the company wasn't making that particular deck anymore so they had to give me a store credit. So with that I got the Alpine CDA-9883 put in. Just wanna know if anyone has any real experience with this deck, maybe any special features or anything I may have missed reading on?? Haven't really had alot of time to play with it myself. I like the looks of it and it sounds ALOT clearer compared to the other deck I had in there and SEEMS to be a bit LOUDER at lower volumes. Thanks Guys

That is a nice deck, have installed a few of them. Nice signal to noise ratio, nice fm sensitivity. should get pretty good reception. Has a HPF which i love if you are not amping your door speakers. Really slick unit.

Thanx Hillbilly! The way I have my system(in photo Gallery) One amp runs both subs the other amp is running the doors and the rear 6x9's I think the deck is only running the tweeters in the dash. So this mean I can't use the HPF?? I do have a question about the Sub system feature, is that part of the features like a remote bass control because it has that and a regular bass, treble feature too.

No, you won't have to use the HPF, as you have already set the crossover points on the Amp for the speakers. On the sub am, no, you will have sub control, but not for treble and such.

Perfect just what I wanted to hear. I was thinking alot lately about getting Satellite Radio lately and seeing as I have this deck now,in you opinion as an Installer is it better to get it through the radio(deck) or get the separate reciever?? Thing is Ireally am not fussy on the Sportster or Starmates models. MAYBE they will come out sooner or later with other models!!
