Hi this actually isnt a question about my blazer its formy cavalier but i guess its also just a question in general. I bought 2 10' kicker comp vx subs and wired them up at 1 ohm to my amp which is 1200 watts which is perfect for the 2 subs because they are 600 each and used 0 guage wire to hook it all up. Sometimes it sounds like it is struggling and was wondering if having a better battery could help this? I also have a capacitor but didnt really make much difference?

cap, no. better battery, yes - depending on what you already have. If it is still the stock battery, an upgrade will make a difference along with the big 3 upgrade. If you are still ahving power issues, you need to focus on the source (alternator)

 

well ye i bought the car and the guy said he got the battery from a place that gets old batterys and rebuilds them or something i dont know what he was talking about but you can tell it is crap. also wat is the big 3 upgrade? and if it is still the same after replacing the battery is there a way to better the alternator?

 

have you tried using the search feature at all? (big 3)

only way to "better" your alternator is to get it reqound. probably easier just to replace it with a HO alt.

 

^ +1. High Output Alt is the way to go, and not a very expensive upgrade either. I already have an Optima Yellowtop, and I want to eventually replace the Alt since it looks like its gonna crap out soon. The Big 3 is also god, I have to read up on that myself.
