I was looking to install a double din cd/dvd player into my 97 blazer, is this possible? I hate the little gap under the single din cd player. It does not fit anything I have and is just stupid. I thought the stock cd player was double din. What has to be done to install a double din into my Blazer. Thanks in advanced

 

it will require fabbing a new place that will cover the pocket as well. (factory pocket) . I was just going to use a sheet of mdr and cover with abs plastic. you will need to figure out a moun for the bottom of the radio. Buy the dash kit for your truck, and cut out most of it. leaving only top mounts, and the side bars. cut out the rest.

no you cannot put a double din in a 2000 blazer. 2002, yes.

 

how about on 2002 Xtremes

 

I put a double din touchscreen alpine in my 2000 blazer. Just gotta cut and modify a bit

 

velodyne is right, there will be modification in a 2000

 

I would like to do the same in my 1999. Anyone has some pics?

I know it will require some modifications.
