emergency brake/dvd player?

Default emergency brake/dvd player?

i need to know if the emergency brake wire is ground or
hot so i can bypass it for dvd player to work, or is
there a different way to do it?

95 blazer 2door automatic trans.

it is illegal to do, so I doubt you will get any help (atleast if the people here are smart). I can tell you though that it all depends on what brand HU you have. Not all can be grounded and work like you think.

Illegal or not its his ticket, so...

Your better of just googling this same question including your HU model number.

I found all kinds of answers, but without your HU M# i cant really help to much.

also you could just probe the wiring to find out if it ground or not. Im not positive about it as I havnt messed with my E-Brake wiring.

some of the fancyer models, even if bypassed will still require you to apply and letout the e-brake.

i just grounded the parking break wire to the ground from the cars harness then i had to type in a code and it works flawlessly

It's a ground, just connect it to the harness ground or ground it separately. Some installers I've worked with wired the ground to a switch so that if they or the customer is pulled over, they throw the switch and the car/truck is "legal".


Of course, I don't know about your state, but in Texas it's not illegal to have to ability to watch movies on your screen while driving, it's only illegal to do it. As we like to say down here... P-R-O-V-E-I-T.

it is a green wire i think thats what mine is and it is a ground i just went and got a on/off switch ground one part of the switch to ur truck and the other to the ground wire (parkin wire from ur deck) turn on the deck wait till fullly on and flip the switch enjoy
