Alright here we go. I'm coming to you guys for something once (LOL) but yea Im thinking of building a false floor with some design in it!

I'm doing this for an upcoming show that i NEED a box lol. And my amps pretty big soooo i dont anywhere to mount it so false floor. Run wires underneath and have it come up.

Does anyone know how to do this? I'd love tips and also if theres a tutorial somewhere I'd lovee that too!

Well, other than the obvious (carpeting, wood products, screws, etc), I would think you just need to build the substructure, then lay over some plywood. I would use some 1" by 2" pine boards for the substructure making a grid to hold the floor up, drilling whatever holes for wires you need. You may want to pull up the carpeting underneith to make sure that you on solid footing so nothing moves. Once you have the substructure in, use some cardboard to get the side details and transfer it onto some plywood. Use a jig-saw to cut out the plywood floor and check the fit, allowing some room for carpeting to roll over the edges. Finish it off with carpeting to match your interior (or whatever).

Only thing you really need to remember is amp placement when making the substructure and cut a hole for the amp out of the plywood floor. Mount the amp to the floor of the truck. I would try to get as large of a peice of cardboard as you can (and get a few of them) so that you can make the floor out of cardboard first and tweak it until it fits just right around the sides and around the amp. Then move on to the plywood.

As always, measure twice, cut once! Plywood is getting more and more expensive!

I have a false floor in mine...measure, draw on cardboard, cut, transfer to plywood or MDF, cut install...you can run wires underneat if you want to, determine where you'll place amps, drill, screw amp and box on, you're done!

If you do put ANY electronics under a plexi, make sure you ventilate it with fans or kepp it open somewhere so air can circulate otherwise something will overheat!
