Default Gas Guage

My gas guage keeps on jumping around, anything i can do to help this and actually tell how much gas i have in my tank?

possibly a bad sender or the wires are crossed on the top of the tank form age clean and tape up if so but u could always do what djdrew said 200 - 250 miles is about where i stop too

My gage does the same thing. It randomly goes from full to low fuel. It is a PIA! I am going to replace the whole fuel pump and hopefully that will remedy the issue with the sending unit.
