Default HID problems

I dont understand i just bought my hid kit ballast and everything included. i've installed hid's on other vehicles so i know what im talking about.
i installed the lights you know the correct way i released the e brake and put it in drive with the headlights on. nothing seems to be working. what can i do? i put the old silverstar back in and turned the lights on and it worked fine thats what i dont understand.

Try switching the harness that goes from the power source of the 9006 plug into the ballest. Sometimes the wires get switched backwards.. Trust me its happened to me quite a few times espically with the 9006 sets

After fooling with the kit i came to find out that the plug that is from the hid bulb to the ballast has to be plugged in backwards, how would that happen lol.
