Default HID Kit problems

i installed a HID kit on my 01 and both sides dont always turn on, and when they do sometimes one side will just go out for no reason. i dont know what the problem could be, im wondering if a new battery would help?

Try looking at the connections to the ballasts and make sure they are secure, also check the connection at the factory headlight harness, also check the connection at the battery terminals. Any loose connection could cause the light to randomly work/not work.

It very well could be a ballast connection issue. I know I have that from time to time with the HID kit I purchased. I need to go through all of the connections again. It has gotten better since I installed a relay kit for the HIDs though which seems to reinforce the connection issue.
