that OCS link is a pretty good price...

most of the ones on eBay are about $320 shipped for a new one or about $285-$300 shipped for a used one

That Sundown is a pretty good deal at that price. But the Kicker is pretty good too. Just a reminder though, the further you jump past 1000w the more chance you have of voltage drops and the need for charging system upgrades...Doing the "Big 3" would be a good thing to look into with the power range youre in...

Yeah, so the 1,000W-1,100W range isn't too bad. Especially because I've found a few good amps in that range anyway.
Looking at these:

i have 2 12' kicker L5's with 3 kicker ZX 750's with a pioneer in dash cd player and i have ihave pioneer speakersall around my truck..well the 6 of them...if i put the volume past 15 i have to have my windows rolled down and my rear access open otherwise glass gets blown out....speaking from experience. my system is good for loud obnoxious bass but the sound quality isnt the best, it's good, just depending on the song/bass test there can be alot of back bass.

hmm interseting. I seem to remember an episode of mythbusters where they built something like a 40"ish woofer powered by the cars drive shaft and the windows still didnt "blow"

was something like 160db@20hz.....

yeah but wasnt that car missing the floor? either that or a huge hole to connect the cone to the driveshaft....

Yeah, that was a huge modification, they connected the cone to the drive shaft, but the problem was they didn't seal the sunroof shut so the sunroof popped out and shook the car to death.
If they sealed the sunroof shut, who knows what could've happened.

you wont blow out your back window. they are all safety glass now, and the windows are curved, making them harder to crack. I have cracked a few windshields in my days, but you will not blow out a window. Period

I had two RE MT 18"s in the back of my old 2door Jimmy. It cracked the windshield and popped the side windows off the track constantly. Eventually I ended up having to lock the window all the way up and weld in a plate below the glass...
