Default HU problem

I want to replace my stockHU with an aftermarket. I have the new deck and a wiring harness. The stock system is bose six speakerwith an amp between the front seats. my problem is the harness i have a metra 80-1858. I have been told i need the metra 70-1858 but i can not find it anywhere. Is there nany way i can make the harness i have work? Circuit city told me i would have to rewire the whole truck. If thats what i have to what do i need besides wire?

as long as the black end plugs onto the factory plug, you are fine. just cut off the end iwth the clear 21 pin connector, and then just wire that up to new cd player!! sometimes you do have to rewire the whole truck. first try installing the cd player and just make sure that you hook up the blue wires to eachother, to turn the factory amp on.

If that doesn't work, post up and I will walk you through the re-wire
