Cool JL 12"? or other brand?

Ive decided to put some money forward and buy some subs for my 1998 4door but not quite sure what i want yet. I mainly want the subs to sound great and give me some extra kick to my system, but i also gotta be able to turn em up and really get the rear view shaking haha. Ive been looking mostly at 2 JL 12s with a comprable jl amp but im not sold yet. Im definately gunna go with 2 12s but im not sure what yet? any Ideas? anyone done their blazer with 12s and have it sounding great? it all helps thanks

Ok first of all i have 2 cheap *** 12"s in my blazer and they are being tragically under powered by a 5 chanel 700 watt amp. that being said, they hit like a *edited for content*!

if you are going to go JL I suggest getting the old stand bys of the JL line. The w6's. (i think they are actually a little over 13" total dia.) 2 Dub 6's in no frills box (not even ported) is loud as hell in my H1 hummer being pushed by a 500/1 JL amp. (by my i mean the army's that i get to drive around for people...)

For our second H1 build we went with Kicker comps in a custom ported box, but the Dub's equal it even with a rockford power 1000 amp pushing the kickers.

the cheap *** subs I bought are Hifonics 12" crap. that being said, they are very highly rated and reviewed, and do what i need them too. And the pair, loaded in a SubZero box set me back a cool $87 bones. For a cheap *** like me they are WAY better than I expected because they are super efficent with the roguhtly 300 watts total power BOTH SHARE from my sub channel.

All in all if you have the money to play with a JL 500/1 or 500/2 and 2 Dub 6's are a ton of bump for your buck. just my .02.

i have a single quatum audio 10 that can take 750 rms in a vented box with a crappy sony 600 rms amp and my truck hits pretty hard for one 10...most people think i have 2 12's. best thing is the sub is cheeeap $85 new....look into the company and you will find out its made by DB Drive which is a leader right now in the SPL competitions.

2 12's is not needed at all in a blazer, get one good 10 or 12 in a vented box and a decent amp and it will knock your eye ***** out your head.

i suggest a Sundown Audio SA-12
http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.ph...series-12.html

i cant really give you a good idea on a small system b/c ive never had anything smaller then 3 JL 12w3s. If you can find some 12w3s for a good price then i suggest them. They sound awsome in a sealed enclosure. give them 1 cubic ft each and call it a day. Im getting ready to do 16 10s in my truck so i cant really suggest a small setup haha

so i found 2 single coil 4 ohm JL 12s at a reasonable price with an rms rating of 300. If i get a monoblock amp that has a 750 rms rating on 2 ohms and i hook the two subs in paralell for a total load of 2 ohms?, i should have no problem powering the subs? Correct?
