eBay adds lie more than they tell the truth. ZX are NOT 1ohm stable. Only the SX series is...

Yeah, I was looking at the same amp on other websites and I was like wait a minute..the others have it listed as not 1-ohm stable, so that's what kinda put my Hifonics choice ontop. I was looking at Sundowns, and was having trouble finding them. I'll pay the price, as long as I get the quality and sound. I mean even if the Hifonics is a good deal, if there are better amps out there, I'll buy it.
I just wanna make the right choice in the end, so I'm making sure I find the right amp first.

You can either run the battery from your truck, or a seperate battery, correct?

Yeah, but a separate battery isn't necessary in a lot of cases and an alternator upgrade really should be first if you really need to upgrade any of that stuff at all............................................... .

Well I have a stock 100A alternator. It's not that big an alternator at all, but so far it hasn't given me any trouble in the past. If nobody has required an upgrade running something like this then I don't think it'll be neccessary.

Upgrade the "Big 3" and you shouldn't have any issues...

Haha, I wouldn't mean to do that, but I'm trying to find an amp that beats this Hifonics that I'm looking at. What type did you get and for what price?

not hard to beat the hifonics in quality.....but it does well in price-power.

I got a used 1500d for $350....then it would stay in protect and blow fuses all day......so i sent it in to jacob and i had a brand new 1500 at my door within days.

its a great amp

I think they're going for $599 now

Those amps would work fine...The 1500d is an older model to let you know.

Also, I would stay away from Sonix. I've heard some bad things. Online Car Stereo has a much better repuatation and similar prices with free shipping on most orders.
