he's just talking about a combination of how you wire your subs. like with the dual voice coil, power to power, then out to the amp, and ground to ground and back to the amp. you can mix and match and get various combinations, thus, series and parallel.

alright, try this: take your power from one of the coils and take it to the other ground. do it vice versa to the other and runt hem back to your subs. should be a nice surprise :P

Alright heres a discription.

Now Picture a hose with water flowing out of it.

It looks like this
_
_
_

Say thats a 4 ohm pipeline.

When we drop the ohm load to 2 ohms the pipeline widens basicaly thus allowing more power to flow through. Now i saw a post saying that this doubles the power. No. This is not true. It merely increases the output of the amplifier due to a lack of resistance in the lines.

2 ohms looks like this

___
___
___

See the hose widens. This will give more room for the power to flow through

1 ohm
______
______
______

Now The person who said it doubles power Here's proof that its not true. And dont think im jsut pickin on you or tryin to be an ***. I'm tryin to educate.

My amplifiers ratings go like this
1000@ 4 ohms
1700@ 2 ohms
2500@ 1 ohms
3300@ .5ohms

These are ALL assuming you have a constant 14.4 voltage in the vehicle

so do I need 2 ohm subs for my amp? i'm more than likely going with the CVR's because i have heard them before and I am afraid of the infinity subs.......

yes, he's exactly right. lord have mercy on a sub if you wire it to .5 ohms. that'd be all scary and such.

Straight Up.

Go with the CVR dude. It has no problem getting loud and has decent SQ so thats your best bet.

We'll handle the wiring later on. Dont need to confuse him

Do 4 ohm woofers.

And .5 ohms doesnt really effect the sub. It effects the output of the amp.

I had mine wired down there for the longest time. bumped daily too

hit me up on AIM if you want S/N's JonTobin15
