00blackblazer...it's going to be hooked up to 2 FI Q 15's dual 2 each, so the amp will see a 2 ohm load, so i already got that covered but good lookin out man
i got it priced match on sounddomain for $890.00 plus shipping, i figured that was a decent deal since every where around here it was about $1200-1500. only thing that sucks is sound domain has to special order it so they said 3-6 weeks! oh well i think it will be worth the wait!

I've read lots about people running them at 1 ohm daily, and even sometimes 0.7. Deff not 0.5 ohm though.
Now I just need to sell my premier subs locally so I can get on the FI bandwagon too. Thinking 2 18" BTL's each on their own 2500d. Just need another amp.

that's way too much money for just a 2500D, IMO. you could go with orion or a hifonics amp. but, you sound like you know what you're doing.

blazin loud..i had it priced match with woofersetc.com, the reason i prefer to get it from sounddomain is so it comes with a warranty.
I was looking at the 2500d but a guy i talk to at the comps has 2 of them on 2 re mt 15's but he says there just power hungry! and i don't have enough loot right now for an alt.
BTW mikeywaynebygod, everyone has there own oppinions but i dont know if i would put kicker's 2500.1 and orion's 2500d in the same class as hifonics, not ******* hifonics i've just heard there known to be seriously over rated..someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

I can vouch for the 2500D being KINDA power hungry. Not to much though.
And i agree Hifonics is more of the budget amp companies but it puts out rated power at 12 volts! thats why people love them

i've noticed alot of the newer orion amps seem to be over rated also...i was conversatin with a buddy of mine who owns 2 of the orion hcca series d5000's and he says the only put out roughly 3700 watts...and the 1200d's are rated @ 600 wattsrms/1200 peak. when did they start doing this?? because what i've heard is the older orion amps do there rated power plus some...
