Kicker ZX2500.1
ORIGINAL: 00blackblazer
im guessing they are dual voice coil 2 ohms if your running 2 dual voice coil 2 ohm subs off that amp you will either be at a 4 ohm load or a 1 ohm load not a 2 ohm. the kx2500.1 is NOT 1 ohm stable. I was looking at this amp for my 15 l7's and ended up going with 2 kx1200.1's which are 1 ohm stable and cost 200 less that what your looking to spend. 600 shipped for both amps. call Kicker and verify what im telling you 18002563746

00blackblazer...it's going to be hooked up to 2 FI Q 15's dual 2 each, so the amp will see a 2 ohm load, so i already got that covered but good lookin out man
i got it priced match on sounddomain for $890.00 plus shipping, i figured that was a decent deal since every where around here it was about $1200-1500. only thing that sucks is sound domain has to special order it so they said 3-6 weeks! oh well i think it will be worth the wait!

not trying to be a dick, but i think you need to do your research, cuz you got everything backwards man....(2) dual 2 ohm subs (what i am getting) wired in series will yield a 2 ohm load...if you wire them in parrellel you will get a .5 ohm load. you my friend are reffering to dual 4 ohm subs...so who ever you talked to or gave you your info was *** backwards. Trust me i'm not an expert by any means, but i do know what i'm talking about. but like i said i'm not trying to give you a hard time, i just think you should research your info before trying to give advice. BUT if you still insist i'm wrong i copied the below directly from jl's website.
2 DVC drivers with Voice Coils in Series / Parallel
Connecting the two voice coils of each driver in series (+ to -) and the drivers themselves in parallel (+ to +, etc.) will result in the following impedances:
Dual-6 Ohm Subwoofers: 6 Ohms
Dual-4 Ohm Subwoofer: 4 Ohms
Dual-2 Ohm Subwoofer: 2 Ohms<<<this is what i'm going to do

Dual-1.5 Ohm Subwoofer: 1.5 Ohms
sorry about that man, just wanted to give him the correct information
00Blackblazer..no worries man, it happens. maybe i should've been more clear. sorry for callin you out like that.

hey im no expert either but i will say this the kicker zx2500.1 is good for about 2700 watts on the birth sheet. 2 kx1200.1's are good for about 2950 on the birth sheets. 2 kx1200.1s are less expensive for more power, only drawback is they will take up twice the space.
where are you getting such a good deal on the 1200.1's???? i've been to woofersetc.,sounddomain, online car stereo, and crutchfield, they don't seem to even carry it anymore, so please tell me where your getting this deal
