my subs (pics) and question
The one that's cutting in and out, sounds like the tinsel leads are loose. You can use a adhesive epoxy on the back of the cone to fix that sometimes. I did that on one of my old Cerwin Vega 12. There might be a better way but that's what I found to work in my experience.
Anywho your tearing everything out, you get tired of car audio or something?

I heard that. I'd love to have my MECP certification and be cramped up under dashes all day! Seems like the art is dying in my area. There used to be a install shop every 10 miles or so. Now there is one custom shop, ( if they haven't closed), a pawn shop that gets car audio in new and charges way too much, and best buy that is about a hour drive away. Oh well, that leaves friends coming to me on the weekends and some extra money in my pocket, lol.
Anywho hope your amp gets back soon. I'm gonna go down and try to finish up my radio swap.

Ive ran everything from radioshack 8's, (yeah they used to sell some car audio), all the way to 3 15's in the blazer. Always wanted to try the square subs and some 18's like the fi's or RE. I have heard that the square subs had more output with less power than traditional round subs. Although I haven't seen many of them around here.
I remember when they came out, the installer at Auto effx down my way said "it's nonsence, if a square sub was better it would have been made years ago." ha ha I guess he ate those words. Shoot now Boston makes oval subs and I think bazooka has a triangle shaped sub? (weird lookin thing lol). I remember my cousin had one of the 32 inch audiobahns in a jeep grand cherroke. For my birthday he would let me sit in his jeep and listen to the system. I had a old VCR tape of a full 2 liter jumping on the roof a good 4-5 inches. If I ever find it I'm gonna convert it and put it online. That was back around 97-98. lol.
But do you have any plans on upgrading anything soon, or are you content with the set-up how it is now?
