Cheap subs question
There's alot of cheap subs on ebay, are any of them good? Any of these? Or what subs/amp setup would be nice but cheap.

RE: Cheap subs question
I've heard MA is ok, not the best but good for a beginner. Another brand that you might be interested in is Visonik, kinda like MA. Not the best but a good starter system. At least thats what i heard......

Rockford are nice starters. I started with 1 P2 and got 2nd in a sound comp at 139.1dB Great for the price thats for sure!

RE: Cheap subs question
i enjoy Rockfords a lot. I have been looking into kickers though. This is going to sound crazy to most people here. But i wil say it anyhow. Go pick up a set of 750 watt 12 inch Lightning Audio subs at like Wal-mart, or Miejers. Most people think of them as POS. But since Rockford bought out the company, they arent that bad. i had a set of the 300 watt 10"s bridged on a 600 watt RF amp and they pounded. i burned them up in about a year or so but they were only $30 a piece. now i am running 4 of the 12's in my blazer and it is louder than all my friends, and there are quite a few ppl very jealous. i have all 4 12's wired at 4 ohms on a 2000 watt amp. @ 4 ohm the amp is putting out around 850 max, and it hits hard.

RE: Cheap subs question
Hey, for the cheap setup deal, I am currently running a "Dual Illumilite 12" Subwoofer," it's only 175w RMS, but 750 Peak, I have it hooked up to a Fast&Furious Lightning Audio Amp that I got for $30 that is 150W RMS, 450W Peak, and it sounds great. My friend is running 2 Visonik 12" subs in his Neon with 1000W Peak, 500W RMS and mine hits harder. You too can do things like this, half of a sub sounding good is the box that it is in. I'm running a 1.5 cu. ft. box that I made myself, and let me tell you, the box is the difference. Good luck with whatever you choose, just make sure that your box is within your subs manufacturer's specs to get the best sound. (3/4" MDF and wood glue with nails or screws every 2-4" will build you a better box than most you can buy)
