Default Door Speaker Replacement

You need a special torx screwdriver to remove the factory speakers.

you need to cut the cables since the stock GM plug in connections will not mate to aftermarket speakers. cut them as close to the plug as possible, then strip off a bit of the insulation, and connect the wires to your new speakers.

This is supposed to be the polarity of the colored wires for your speakers from the tacked thread.

For Blazers and S-10s (including Bravada, Sonoma, Jimmy, Full-Size) the actual stereo wiring is as follows Constant 12V+ Orange
Switched 12V+ Yellow
Ground Black
Illumination Gray
Dimmer Brown
Antenna Trigger Pink
Antenna Right Front
Front Speakers 4" x 6" Dash
Left Front (+) Tan
Left Front (-) Gray
Right Front (+) Light Green
Right Front (-) Dark Green
Rear Speakers 6" x 9" Side Panels
Left Rear (+) Brown
Left Rear (-) Yellow
Right Rear (+) Dark Blue
Right Rear (-) Light Blue

On my two door, I found that I had yellow & brown wires in the driver side door panel speakers, (instead of yellow & brown at left rear) but I just kept with what was + and what was - and it turned out fine.

Good luck and better sounds to you!
