Default new and having problems with my system

i have a bad case of system thump and whining noise when i turn my pioneer 4800 head unit on and may i add the whining noise get louder as the rpm goes higher the system thump happens when i turn my radio off and when i turn the radio station what should i do

Sound like the symptoms of a bad ground. Try creating a new 'solid' grounding point for head unit...

what about the system thump is that dealing with an bad ground as well with the head unit or is it something dealing with the ground for the amp ?

I Assumed you had a factory system other than the HU, my bad. A turn on thump is usually as bad ground. This can either be the amp ground itself or the RCA's ground. I would first start off with the headunit ground because that is where ther RCA's get thier ground from anyway...

that is the common pioneer ground plane issue. Try to ground the shield of your rca's. I would almost guarantee that if you had another deck to swap in, your problems would go away. Design flaw with pioneer decks.

thanks for the advise on the my system problems. wait ive tried that and still had the same problem after i think i'lltry to switch the radio ground to an more solid area any suggestions where should i move it to

honestly, do you have the means to try out a different radio? i really believe that is your problem. Pioneer radios are known for this, at my three shops, in the past 4 years, have swapped out about 4 dozen pioneer radios due to the ground plane.

no due to funds being low i cant swapp out my radio just yet but when i do is there an certin brand should i go with

i wasnt saying to buy another radio, but do you have a friend with an aftermarket deck that you can pull out and put in your truck 4 testing???
