Default New poster needs advice

Hey, this is my first time posting in this forum. I just bought my new rig, a 1993 s10 Blazer, a few weeks ago and have been working on the sound. Got a 12" infinity kappa boxed in the back and some decent 6.5's in the rear doors. The problem is, I got some pretty good 4x6's for the dash, and they still sound bad. I have two questions and would love any input:

It appears that the stock wiring really sucks, has anyone rewired at least their front dash speakers and found a significant improvement?

Also, is it at all possible to put speakers in the front doors of a 93 s10 Blazer? I've had a peak under there and it looks a little tight but I'm no expert. Any thoughts?

The problem with the dash speakers in the blazers is that they are very close to the dash and aiming straight up. you get horrible reflections and the speakers are easy to localize. Your best option would to get component speakers and make kicks for them.

As far as the rewiring goes, if your speakers are working you shouldnt have to bother with rewiring unless the wires are corroded or have a break in them somewhere.

Ya, if the doors are too shallow you can make an mdf spacer ring.....or go all out and make a pod.
