Fair weather poster (with a trans prob)
I am guilty of this, and I always state that I will be more active online. But I always fall short! But i have bought a few things from your adds, and I know that dose help. But I REALLY need some HELP!! Starting this morning after I backed out of the parking spot at the gas station. (No noise, nothing to raise my suspicion) I pulled out onto the street. Then all I had was first gear. Pulled off on a side street, stopped, put it in park. Holding the brake ran through all the gears, nothing in reverse. Could hear a light sound like the gears were close ( I work on gearboxes, gear reducers, etc) So I headed home, found that if I let off gas around when it should have shifted into 2nd gear it would, then found if I had very little gas it would also go into 2nd like it should. But any kind of acceleration, first just wine’s out! I have been hearing what I thought to be a u joint “thunk” at times lately, and have planed to do so (but remodeling a few rooms in the house, and that got put on the back burner. So If anyone could help point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful. Thanks for all the help in the past, and I this was the first place I thought of for help. Have a great day!
I would suspect that you do not have 2nd or 4th along with the missing reverse. This is the classic sign that the reaction sun shell has stripped. The feathering of the throttle to get it to shift is likely causing it to jump to 3rd.
It very well could be, The thing that has me stumped is that when I get on the exoress way, All is good, even beter than before. But after talking with my brother in law (who is alot more care nolidgeable than I) We decided to pull it see what we can see, and if need be take it some were for a rebuild, fined a manual and do it our selvs, of fined a place that might swap? I thought I seen a blazer that had a smashed up front end, and was gonna call but I can't fined it now! Figures. I would love to fined a basket case blazer that I could pull parts from! Thanks for your help. You guy's are a great group of people!!!!!! And I do MEAN that!!! you offer a great service for us (me) morans! Have a greta day!
