Default New Stereo

So I put a new stereo in my jimmy yesterday, a pioneer dxt-2369ub. I did all the wiring and stuff and this is my first time putting in an aftermarket stereo. I was listening to the radio on it this morning while I was driving and it would randomly pause for a second, not turn off just pause for a split second then continue. There wasn't a precise amount of time between the pauses they were just random. Any ideas???

Also I need to know how to wire and amp. I have the audio cables done I just need to know how to do the power cable and remote turn on.

Sounds like a problem with the deck itself. Would it skip when you hit bumps or something?

power cable is a lead from the battery straight to the amp. ground you just pic a seat bolt, and for the amp turn on lead should be labled on the back of your deck, something like remote. if not then you can put it on a toggle switch wired to the acc power wire being as it doesnt draw much power.
