for the past couple weeks i have been set on getting 2 15" APXX's for my truck. But something came to me tonight. What about instead of 2 15's....just do one 18" APXX. That way instead of trying to split the power of my amp to two subs I can have it all focused on one sub. What do u guys think?

 

Having first hand knowledge and experience with both the 15's and the single 18, I still say 15's. More cone area, and will hit better numbers.

I loved the 18, I loved the lows that i hit, but box size for the single 18 was 10.6 before port amd driver disp. Probably will end up with about 9 or so cubes for the 15's. I am still workin on a box, have built two and tested them, One was pretty good, other sucked horribly. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised when I send you the final designs.

 

honestly i dont really care about the numbers anymore.....i just wanna be loud and i want it to sound loud. I def. think im leaning towards the 18 just because it is what it is and can take an *** load of power lol. plus the 18 will give me that deep loud bass i like. sorry about the change pat.

i just bought a kinetik 800 for my truck....i think ill put it in the back for right now until i get some small bus bars so i can hook it up in the front. As for the 18...yea i def. think im sold on it. Im buying one for less then 1k brand new. It will be the new APXX18. From what the guy on ROE is saying its a bad *** sub
