I'm wondering what the minimum requirement electical wise to run 2 1500d's [email protected] each.
am I looking at a ho alt? or can I just run a big battery bank.....
also, would I have to upgrade drivers? probably a little much for 2 type r's ported......
theres talk of the discontinuing the saz1500d in the future, and replace it with an saz2000d model. if thats the case im going to order another 1500d before that happens.

def. too much power for 2 type r's....sundown does their ratings at 12.8 volts....so ur probably looking around 5k watts with those strapped. maybe a little more. if you can keep ur voltage up. I was running 5300 watts with my soundstream and i had/have a 300amp alt. and 2 kinetik 2400 batteries

ouch....alts are way too expensive.....
might have to pick up 2 more R's then.....4 on 5k should scratch my itch

Haven't heard them stopping the 1500s yet, where was that from? I was going to strap my 2 with a stock alt and 2 red tops and see how that went. Then probably get a 200-250 amp alt.
