Default Port noise?

How do i get rid of it? Its so bad, i can hear from the driver seat upfront. Its worse if i open my trunk and stand next to the box. you can hear the subs smacking against the wood and the echo of the port. any ideas of how to get rid of it?

your port is probably too small. what is your setup? sub(s)? box specs?

i got a pair of 15' L7s.... box is 12cubes... After sub/port/brace displacement, subsare receiving a little over 4cubes each. Box is tuned to 34hz.

I'm pretty sure its not about the size of the port because i had a previous box which was half of this box and i had no port noise.

what is the clearance between the sub and the internal bracing. looks suspect from your other thread.

my guess is the port velocity was overlooked, and that is what you are hearing.
