power problem??

i have a jl 500 watt amp and a kicker 350x4 watt amp hoooked up to a 13.5 jl w6 and some component speakers. anyway....when i put it loud and some bass hits, i can watch my battery meter drop and all my lights dim.and if im at a red light i sometimes think my car will die. i know theres a few ways to stop this but i dont want to mention any because i want to hear from you guys straight up??

upgrade your big 3, upgrade your battery and upgrade your alternator.

"Definition: the "Big Three" upgrade means improving the current capacity of three cables: 1) alternator positive to battery positive, 2) battery negative to chassis, and 3) engine ground to chassis. Some people replace the factory wiring; others add additional cables to the factory wiring. This instruction is to add cables to existing OEM wiring."

if you guy either 4 ga. or 1/0 ga power wire you can do the big 3....its not like a kit you buy.

ok yea i got some of that. now would you reccomend buying a new alternator at??
